KRYPTON TOOLKIT PROBLEMS!

Postby kentrhy » Sun Apr 08, 2012 9:11 am

Hi,

I just created an application in Visual Studio (VB.NET), and I included some buttons and stuff with Krypton Toolkit.
When I sent the program to some friends of mine, they all got the same errormessage:

I'm Norwegian, so this is the message I got:

"ComponentFactory.Krypton.Toolkit versjon 4.3.2.0 installeres i den globale samlingsbufferen (GAC) først. Kontakt systemansvarlig."

Translated: (Google translate, so it may be some errors)

"ComponentFactory.Krypton.Toolkit version 4.3.2.0 must be installed in the global collection of cache (GAC) first. Contact your system administrator."

Could anyone please help me...

Sorry for bad grammar btw. :D

Hi,

i gues you don't have included the Krypton DLLs in your setup - for e.g. ComponentFactory.Krypton.Toolkit.dll (to be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Component Factory\Krypton Toolkit\Bin) must be stored in the AppDomain directory of your installation on the target machine. For further informations start the Krypton Explorer on the Desktop, select 'Resources' and click on 'Documentation'...
Greetings, Bomi...

I had this issue as well. To resolve this make sure you have a copy of the ComponentFactory.Krypton.Toolkit.dll version 4.3.2 and drag that the the C:\windows\assembly directory. That will in essence "install" the dll that is missing for the program to run. After you do that run the program again and it should be resolved.

The above method doesn't work for me.. When my friends try to drag the dll into the assebly folder is says access denied and there is no way to allow access, is there no way for this to be done when the application is installing or am I doing something wrong in the compiler?
