I thought I've seen this issue reported in some post here, but cannot find it.
So the problem occurs when you set a large minimum-maximum interval and the TickFrequency seems not to change the number of drawn ticks, as it can be seen in the picture.

In this case I have the interval [-256; 256] with TickFrequency = 16, so it should only draw 33 ticks.
Hope it could be solved for the next release...
