Minimum size of pages/cells + other issues

Postby lonfire » Tue Mar 08, 2011 8:49 am

Hi,
I'm trying to get my application tidied up to sell and i'm having some issues with the workspace/docking..etc.

1. For some reason i can't seem to get a minimum size to work on cells/pages. The resizing of the cells just goes past the minimum size. Even if i drag the page off the workspace and float it, it still doesn't respond. Any ideas? I've tried setting minimum size on the usercontrol in side the page, the page, and the cell..

2. I have a cell with two pages inside it. I always want this cell to have these two pages in it. So if you drag the page and float it, they both go as one still inside the cell. I guess i could put a navigator control inside the page and have two pages inside the one page thats added to the cell, however i'd end up with a two level tab type structure i don't want. There must be a better way to do this?

3. Some of my cells can't be resized by moving the mouse inbetween the cells and grabbing and dragging, others can. I've checked my cells and they allow resizing,

I'm programaticaly adding all my cells/pages at runtime if this makes any difference. I did also try to use auto hidden pages, but i just can't seem to get that to work.. dunno what i'm doing wrong.

Any tips would be great!

Thanks
Chris

p.s. i'm using v4.1.6

Hi,
just renewed my subscription and upgraded my apps to 4.3.1. The issue with the resizing grabs not working is fixed. But the minimum sizing and other issues are still there..

I'm sure i'm just missing something.

Regards
Chris

There is no support for minimum sizing of docking pages or cells. This issue is much tougher to implement that it sounds and I always assumed that when you give the user control over size and location (by using the docking system) then the user would be able to set things as they choose.
