how to display image in Datagridview and combo data

Hi Phil
is it possible you could point me to a example in vb on how to bind a image to a column in a grid ie
if the mystate value of the column is 1 then show tick image else 2 cross etc
i expected an image list in the grid so i could add images and then the index would be the mystate value hence display the image
if this is not the way can you tell me how i can see it is possible to put an image icon in a cell!
