He Gerhard

I have looked at the for you have sent me, and there is nothing wrong with it. I used http://winmerge.org/ to compare your file with one I created and they are identical. That leads me to believe that the issue is not with Krypton as the code for both form is identical.

I am using Vista 32 bit and you've tested this on XP and it works. Though another user has stated that this affects Vista 32 bit so there must be something about your setups that is causing this.

I am going to have a little think about this, and will post later, but in the meantime it would be helpful to see some images with a before and after, illustrating the size change.

(I use snagit for my screen captures)

Thanks for analyzing the problem.

I have a fresh installed Windows 7 64Bit (~14days), a fresh Visual Studio 2008 without AddOns.

I put the bottom from the form to the top of the taskbar. So the effect is good to see. This the form after starting the program:

Then i minimize it to the taskbar and restore it. The result looks like:

A picture is worth a thousand words, because the evidence is irrefutable and it makes it so easy to see what the issue is. I doubt most people had actually understood the issue up to now, but it is clear now.

What happens if you try this with a new project, and use windows forms with no Krypton in it whatsoever?

What happens if you change the resolution of your screen to 800 * 600, before you run the application i.e. change the screen resolution, then open up visual studio and the run the program?

also can you increase the size of the form to lets say 600*600 so the ribbon is always in view when you run the tests

Same problem. Height changes after minimize/restore.

Changed size of form to 600 x 600 and added a messagebox to show height of form when restoring. Everytime the size changes +30px. 600, 630, 660 ...

For info.

Tried the Ribbon examples from "Krypton Explorer" and there is the same problem for me.

I tested my application and i found the same problem Sun described. Everytime you minimize and restore the form it sinks something like 30-40px into the bottom of the screen.

I can confirm I have now reproduced the issue. Seems to be related to the use of Aero glass and so was not apparent when I tested inside virtual machines, as VM's cannot use Aero. I will investigate in more detail once I get chance.

Hi Phil,

did you had a chance to look into this so it could be fixed in the next release?
