Black bar over title bar when using a Krypton Form

I am using a Krypton Form with a Ribbon control on the form. I am hiding the app and NOT showing it in the taskbar as a way of hiding the app via a tray icon. When I restore(show the app/form and show in taskbar), the title bar of the form becomes pure black and the minimize/maximize/close buttons are hidden. I have seen some threads here where the ribbon control turns black and has anyone found a solution to the issue? It seems to be the act of NOT showing in the taskbar that causes the problem.

Does anyone know how to track if user chooses to show or hide one of the items on the QAT?
The form starts with all controls showing, but if one is Unchecked on the dropdown menu, how
do I track it. I do not see any events such as QAT.item.selected

Any ideas?
