Phil,

What are your plans for the nearest future? Do you have a roadmap for us or something?

Maybe some new controls like:
- scrollbar
- treeview
- listview
- office backstage menu

The plan is to keep adding free Toolkit controls as well as commerical add-ons for the Suite. Certainly a Krypton version of the ListView and TreeView are high on the list for the free Toolkit. For the commerical section I am thinking of adding some gauge controls. But that is just an idea at the moment.

I think a proper grid has a more high priority than gauges. If i look at some of your competitors they all have a grid with features like column/row header merging, grouping, sorting and so on.
Also the ribbon needs some improvements like: the possibility to use the ribbon as an action pane (see MS Dynamics products), auto merge in the case of MDI apps (merge MDI child ribbon with MDI parent) and so on.

Once again I add my vote for enhancements to the commercial Ribbon control : the 2010 backstage menu and Ribbonimagegallery.

Please don’t forget hierarchical grid, many people are waiting for that, gauge controls can wait.

A grid would be nice indeed, personally I prefer a listview and treeview because the current grid does the job for me.

I think Phil shouldn't do the grid.
Creating a grid like Telerik, Infragistics etc. is a lot of work.
Although it's not only the creation of this control, it's also the maintenance,
support, bug fixing, speed improvements ...
don't forget: this is a one man show ...

The needed time could be better spend doing the sweet little things around.

BTW:We needed a big grid too, so we bought another component suite on top
(Telerik, for triple price ...)

I think it will be time to renew soon for me. However I'm a bit unsure about the future of Krypton : updates have been slow down during the last year.
The last blog post about a roadmap is dated back in september 2009. Now there are some projects about new free components (toolkit) but a bit unsure because it is once treeview/listview then scrollbars (see above), but the most important for me it that there are no news about a new major paying component (grid?) or at least enhancements to existing paying components (the famous ribbon for example).
What's the point to renew if there nothing new for the paying components except bugfixes support ?

I must say I love Krypton, it has alos unique component such as the useful workspace.
So Phil, please say something clearly in order to help me to decide.

Well the plan is to add teh scrollbars and then I hope the listview and treeview which should not be too tricky in theory. Also add support for installing VS2010 help as I now have that working locally on my machine. Commerical add-ons would be gauge controls but I would not start those until the others mentioned here have been completed.
