I’ve been asked by a couple of Toolkit users about the stats for its usage. These are certainly not secret so I am happy to reveal them. After 24 hours of Version 3.0 being released these are the raw numbers…
Downloads: ~4406
Downloaded Bytes: ~112 GB
I’m glad there is a dedicated server behind our website as 112 gigabytes of data is a fair chunk. I can only imagine it would have ground to a halt if hosted on a shared server like so many other sites are. I expect the same number of downloads again but spread over a couple of weeks. A big rush occurs on the first day but it still takes a little time for it to drop off to the steady state.

Hi Phil,
I have also started a micro-isv with one product. My download rates are 4-5 daily. It is a startup in comparison to your 3 year old firm. But I am surprised to see the stats for your website. That is something , which everyone would crave for.
I have read many blogs on your website ( in fact that is how I found out about you) and listened you in Micro-ISV show. Given that you are a vetaran in Micro-ISV field, you can help me a lot.
If you can think of any partnership with me, I would be very happy.
I would like to communicate to you through emails.
Regards,
Vinay

Thanks for the link. I will stay away from the thread though as I do not want to get involved in that debate/argument!

Debate/argument don’t make anyone successful, so no need for that :-).
if you get time, mail me. Thanks :-)

Wow, 4400 downloads in the first 24 hours? Nifty!
Now if only those 4400 would pay $100 for the full toolkit, you’d be halfway to a millionaire. :-)
Traffic keeps up, maybe we should seed some torrents.

Judah, if you want to start off the trend by donating a $100 I would appreciate it! Thanks :-)
