The upcoming 2.8.5 release of Krypton will contain lots of bug fixes but also a bonus. I am in the process of adding a new built-in palette. It is inspired by Vista as well as Windows Media Player. Here is a peak…

Hi Phil,
THis looks awsome, can’t wait to build a UI with this palette…. Maybe I can convince my collegues now that you can also build cool UI’s without WPF.
Keep up the good work

BTW, how about a VS2008 Pallette?

Hi Phil,
As well as being a computer programmer, I am somewhat of an artist, I dont think the colors in the top pic work well, the acid test and where I believe it will fail is because the colors are to dark to be used in a commercial app. The bottom pic is fine, except for the black button. Thats my two pence worth.
Tough love :)

Looks cool! Sorry to be first to ask but what’s the ETA for Krypton 2.8.5?

The intention of the palette is not so much for business apps but instead to have a slightly more glitzy palette. Probably more appropriate for a utility than a stock control system! I still need to do the ribbon settings and once those are done I will start working down the 2.8.0 big list. So I am guessing a couple of weeks at least before 2.8.5 is out the door.

Hi,
the new theme looks great! However, why not fix the bugs first, release an updated version, and then do new the theme and release it with the next version (along with fixes for all the bugs that might have come up by then)? I don’t necessarily need the new theme, but I want those bugs fixed!
Thanks.
By the way: Any news on the 10Tec datagrid implementation? I’d really need that, too.

I think it’s fabulous, and two weeks is a very short time to wait for bug fixes AND a new theme. For anyone that has complained about the theme, please have a look at other software vendors (especially the big ones) and you will find that they ALL have Vista and Media player type skins, and they they are very popular.
My only ask is for the ‘greeney’ selected colour in the second menu item in the context menu be available in the datagridgiew. That way the datagridview will look like the one in Vista (but you probably were going to do this anyway).
I would be interested about 10tec but there is nothing stopping anyone from getting a license from the today and using it with Krypton is there? All in all a surprise (a very welcome one).
Please keep up the great work.

Good Work,
Bty, More than a black theme, It would be nice to see WINDOWS LIVE MAIL like color theme(s). Windows LIVE apps looks great. Try to implement such themes in all CF controls.
