The last TODO item for the KryptonRibbon application menu is now completed. Showing the first level sub menus as a fixed size equal to the recent documents area…

Now I need to update all the samples and documentation to reflect the new ribbon features in the upcoming release.

I never really thought that the primary submenu was ever just a menu showing in the space of the recent documents. I actually was going to comment about that until I corrected myself. Here is a couple of questions:
1) How does that submenu act if you add more items than what can be safely displayed there even if that might seem like bad UI design?
2) The header looks purple to me…I remember a previous comment about that somewhere, but I cannot seem to find it.
Other than that, excelent work. I always look forward to the comments and it always seems that you are on top of everything the end users are looking for.

Showing the sub menu over the recent docs area is subtle effect in that most of the time you never really notice that is happening.
1) At the moment you would get truncated items. I have added a TODO item to my schedule to add a scroller so that you can scroll up and down the contents in the same way as happens with Office 2007 apps. Although the Office 2007 apps are designed so that they very rarely need that ability. I have added a property that allows you to specify a minimum size to the recent docs area. So if you know your sub menu is quite tall you can make the recent docs area tall as well.
2. The color will be fixed nearer the release date. Its on the TODO list.

Great job Phil, cant stop wandering what you could acomplish if you had more man-power. Tremendous job for such a small development team. Keep up the great work
